The last 15 years saw the rise of a multitude of streaming services and the gradual fading of physical media in stores. To say that physical media is dead would be an overstatement as each week sees bundles of new releases.

Among these releases are older or newer films, depending on the studio, being given new life with the 4k Ultra HD format. The format itself hit shelves in 2016 and boasted a 2160p resolution compared to the 1080p resolution of a standard Blu-Ray.

Not only does this mean your copy of ‘Bubba Ho-Tep’ will be crisper, but the addition of HDR (High Dynamic Range) brought more vivid colors to the screen.

Much like how films were upgraded from DVD to Blu-Ray during the late 2000s, studios have been re-releasing their film catalogs onto 4K; however, while hundreds of films have seen a 4K release, there are still hundreds more waiting to be seen.

Here is a short list of horror films that I would like to see get a 4k release.

1. Scream 4 (2011)

I’m just someone on the internet who likes to talk about horror films, shark movies, and whatever else comes to mind.
