An Ode to the Retail Employees.
A Holiday Message.
The holidays are closing in, and with it, the holiday sales begin. People will rush to the stores looking for presents and holiday dinners like sharks in a frenzy.
I’m sure there will be fights over a TV that’s $20 off or screaming kids begging for the newest Mario game. In the middle of this economic battlefield are the retail employees, the guardians of the price tag.
They have to bear witness to the chaos and mayhem that the holidays bring. They have to endure the constant threat of a barrage of insults and demands, all with a smile and a calm demeanor.
So, I implore all who go out shopping this holiday season to take a second and tell your cashier or whoever helps that they’re doing a great job.
Make their day just a little better and bearable by giving them that ounce of positive affirmation. It might just make their day.
Stay safe this holiday season. Eat a lot of food, laugh with friends and family, and be thankful for what you have in life.
