Graduation Ceremonies: Why I Hate Them.

I want to preface this by saying that I am not here to dismiss or dampen the accomplishments of those who have worked their butts off to graduate this year, or any other year. This is article is me venting about the annoying aspects of going to a graduation ceremony.

And again, to all those graduating this year, congratulations, good job, and good luck to all your future endeavors.

With that out of the way, let’s vent.

1. Location.

More often than not, graduation ceremonies will take place at either the school itself or another nearby school depending on how much space was needed. This is fine, but the problem arises when it comes to parking.

Dear lord, the parking. Trying to find a free parking space during one of these is like trying to find a well-paid teacher at a public school. Everyone is scurrying around in their cars in this bloodstream of a parking lot, which usually doesn’t even have enough spaces to begin with, and every row is clogged.

You have people taking up more than a parking space with their mountainous vehicles, or…
