It’s Okay To Have A Backlog.
Everyone has a list of things that they want to get to eventually. It can be books that have been sitting on the shelf for a year, a movie that has been in your queue for a while, or a video game that has yet to be installed.
Having items like these piled up is what is called a backlog. Think of it as unused inventory.
Sometimes your backlog(s) can feel overwhelming, and that you might never get to finish it. It’s a natural feeling to have. We only have so much free time, and it can be hard to balance work, life, and whatever hobbies you have.
I am here to tell you that it is okay to have a backlog. It is bound to happen eventually. Whether it only has three items or 30, there is going to be a time where you will have pieces of entertainment that will have to wait.
And that’s perfectly fine.
Just don’t get overly worked up over it. If you do, then you might end up in an endless cycle of starting to work on your backlog, but then give up.
This can be due to factors such as work, personal affairs, or the feeling that the list is too big. It might end up feeling like scaling a 200-foot-tall wall, or swimming in the ocean during a hurricane.
If that hurricane was made of Stephen King novels.
So, what can be done to solve this?
Well, I have some tips that may get you going, and hopefully reduce your backlog.
