Welcome back to my slice of Heaven. Welcome back to listening to me gush and fawn over a shower of the blood and guts of the dammed.

This week, we continue our discussion on ‘Doom Eternal’ and how it improved upon the already stellar blueprint that was 2016’s ‘Doom’.

You can find part one of this discussion down below, but now let us begin.

Music.

I wanted to start with the music as I don’t have a whole lot to say about it. Mick Gordon returns to bring us more metal to bang our heads to while we zip around arenas.

The amount of love and effort he put into this soundtrack is amazing and goes to show just how much of a master he is of his craft. The music is fast, heart-pounding, and fits perfectly within the core gameplay loop.

It sucks you in and gets you into the mindset of the DoomSlayer himself; unstoppable and unbreakable.

Some of my favorite tracks include:

  • The Only Thing They Fear is You
