Or “How I Remembered What Quality Was”

Warning: If you wish to not have a shark movie spoiled for you, swim back now. Also, any bashing I do is for the sake of entertainment, and probably some critique.

I regret not doing at least a little research on this film before I watched it. As it turns out, this film is a Tubi exclusive. What is Tubi? It’s a free streaming service that anyone can use. It also turns out that Tubi has original content, this movie being part of it. I spent $10 on the DVD for this film when I could have watched it for free. This will not detriment my opinion of the film itself, but it shows how important research can be.

Although in my defense the word Tubi was nowhere to be seen on the DVD. Anyway, onto the sharks.

It’s weird to think that the words “quality” and “shark movie” can be in the same sentence. If you look at the last two films we’ve watched (Blood Bite and Alien Shark), then you’ll see that it is possible to put chum in front of a camera and call it a movie. So, imagine my surprise that a seemingly generic-looking film called Shark Bait was getting positive reception.

It had to be a trick, I thought. A global conspiracy to get me to waste another hour and a half of my life. But no, the rumors were true. Shark Bait is pretty good. Is it the best shark film? No…

I’m just someone on the internet who likes to talk about horror films, shark movies, and whatever else comes to mind.
