Story Time: Scooby-Doo and Memory Cards.

My small brain hasn’t grown much since then.

Here’s something I haven’t done in a while, another story of my youth. Seeing as I’m currently in a ‘Scooby-Doo’ mood, I figured it’d be fun to share an experience I had with one of my favorite childhood games.

‘Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem’ for the Nintendo Gamecube. Now, I wasn’t allowed to play the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ games or the ‘Resident Evil’ titles, but hey, at least I had my copy of ‘Chicken Little’ to keep me company.

Please keep reading so I can pay for the therapy.

I mean, it wasn’t all bad. For every ‘Chicken Little’ there was a ‘Spider-Man 2’ or ‘Lego Star Wars’ lying around; however, almost none of those titles has been ingrained in my mind like ‘Scooby-Doo! Mystery Mayhem’ (I swear I keep wanting to spell it as “Mayhan”).

What is it? Imagine a cheaper ‘Luigi’s Mansion’. You run around a large level as either Scooby Doo or Shaggy (oftentimes being able to switch between the two in an instant), collect clues, run away from ghosts, and then eventually being able to capture said ghosts.

It’s been almost 20 years since I last played, but I do recall stealth elements where Scooby and Shaggy had to sneak around the ghosts like they were tax collectors.
